Parrot

I got some new very nice colored pencils for my birthday, and this was my first picture that I drawn with them.
I drew it free hand, instead of outlining it and then coloring it in...
This is also my first attempt at using color over black and white(other than oil pastels, and sepia colored charcoal).

Imagination

I was messing around with Oil Pastels one day, and I noticed that if you take something sharp and run it through the oil pastels on the paper it clears a small path...And looks really cool. I used so many colors to make it special..

Horses have struck me since I was a little girl.
I used to draw them all the time, it is funny comparing my old drawing to my new ones.I am way way better at it now..=]

So this is a banner that I did for the 2009 Colfax H'Art of the Palouse banner competition..This actually isn't the finished picture, I never got a chance to take a picture..But this is pretty close to what the finished product looks like.
