Summer Pass Time

My favorite part of summer is breaking out the chalk and going CRAZY! I draw with chalk just about every year, just before it gets to hot to be outside. I went to the riverfront park in Spokane, during the late part of this summer. And there were some chalk artists working on the sidewalk, and I became utterly inspired after seeing their BEAUTIFUL pieces. The only thing that I find sad about working with chalk is that eventually the beautiful works of art will either fade away, or be washed away by rain. On the bright side it is a great way to publicly show your art without the illegal part like graffiti. Here is some of my work, I played around with colors a LOT.

Smoke Painting

Something New and cool, I discovered is painting with Smoke. It's SUPER easy, all you have to do is smoke up a board using a candle, and then use a paint brush to brush away the smoke. But, be careful not to light your board on fire! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z9dBZHwDm8

Horses

Rockstar

This was another Picture on an art supply box; I guess every now and then I just have to prove to myself that I can do it' I also had just got some really awesome markers and was super excited to try them out. I think it turned out pretty cool, Maybe someday I'll even learn how to play guitar.

Polar Bear

Isn't he handsome? I would never have used those colors together like that had it not been an exercise that Tim gave me. It turned out awesome, which I was fairly doubtful of during the process.

-The medium is pastels on grey paper.

Favorite! =D

I don't know what it is about this picture, but it is my favorite picture I have ever done. Maybe it is the mystery air in it, or maybe it is just because she looks like she could kick butt. Whatever the case this is my absolute favorite picture I have ever done.
