I can do it!
I painted this picture to prove to myself I could.
You know how art supplies will have a crazy awesome pictures on the box or package that they came in? Well as far back as I could remember when ever I got a new art supply of some sort I would tell myself that there was no way I could draw or paint the picture on the outside cover.
I finally realized that no way was that true. I could do it, and I knew I could. So this is my proof that I can do it.
How He Loves Us
(Shannon Gaines and I painting "Identity Student Ministries" How he loves us tree.)
How He Loves Us -John Mark Mcmillan
He is Jealous for me,
Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden,
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
and I realise just how beautiful you are,
And how great your affections are for me.
And oh, how he loves us so,
Oh how he loves us,
How he loves us all.
Yeah, he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Yeah, he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves.
We are his portion, He is our prize,
Drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes,
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking.
So heaven meet earth like an unforeseen kiss,
And my heart turns violently inside of my chest,
I don't have time to maintain these regrets,
When I think about, the way . . .
He loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Oh how he loves.
Yeah, he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves us,
Whoa! how he loves.
Thank you God for loving us!
Horses
Horses have been a passion of mine since I was little.
I have used that passion in my art, horses are kind of my thing to draw.
The drawings are 5x3 inches big, and were done with a soft pencil.
The Stallion drawing (Bottom) after i had finished still needed something. My art teacher Tim Ely; showed me a technique where you put tape around the edge of drawing, and smudge in color. I used Sepia charcoal shavings to do it. I feel it gives the picture a rustic old photo feel. The young colt drawing (Top)never quite seemed finished, but I finally got it to a place where I could step back and say," Okay this is good." And be done with it.

Parrot
(Colored pencils on black paper)
I got some new very nice colored pencils for my birthday, and this was my first picture that I drawn with them.
I drew it free hand, instead of outlining it and then coloring it in...
This is also my first attempt at using color over black and white(other than oil pastels, and sepia colored charcoal).
